These are estimates, not tax advice
Take-Home provides estimates for general informational purposes only. It is not tax advice, legal advice, or financial advice, and no professional relationship is created by using it.
What the calculators do not account for
The estimates use standard withholding assumptions and will differ from your actual pay if any of the following apply:
- W-4 adjustments including dependent credits and additional withholding in Step 4(c)
- Multiple jobs or a working spouse
- Local or city income taxes, including Detroit, Grand Rapids and other Michigan cities
- Itemised deductions or state-specific credits
- Supplemental wages such as bonuses and commission, withheld at different rates
- Wage garnishments, union dues and post-tax deductions
- Imputed income such as employer-paid life insurance above $50,000
- Non-standard pay periods and mid-year rate changes
Tax year
Figures are for the 2026 tax year. Rates change annually and mid-year legislative changes are possible. Confirm current rates with the IRS and your state revenue agency before making decisions.
Verify before you rely on it
For decisions with financial consequences — withholding changes, relocation, contract negotiation, retirement contributions — consult a qualified CPA or tax professional who can review your full situation.
Accuracy
Every effort is made to keep rates current and sourced. If you find an error, please report it and it will be corrected.
